As part of her PhD research, studying ethical aspects of improving neonatal resuscitation, Marieke visited the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania for two months. Under supervision of Dr. Foglia she interviewed providers about their experiences with recording and reviewing neonatal resuscitation and their perceptions of (deferred) consent for delivery room studies. During the second part of her PhD she is studying the parental perspectives on consent for delivery room studies and reviewing recordings of the resuscitation of their child.
